Workcamp 2011!

Recently a group of CrossWalk teens went to Reach Workcamps in TN. Here is what some of them had to say about their experience.

Nick F -
"Well when I first got there I didn't like it that much because we had to share a room with people that we didn't know and a few other things. Later that night God helped us all settle in and for me the camp got better. I was blessed with an amazing crew and great leaders. My favorite thing at reach was meeting new people. I always find it amazing how random people can become such great friends in a week. I don't think God just used me on this trip to help fix up someone's home or to share the word of Him to people in the community, but I believe I really learned from this experience, not just how I am meant to serve Him but how He can really impact someone's life. The trip was great and I cant wait till next year."

What did God teach you during workcamp? "That big things are going to happen for Jesus. I want to be a part of that :)"

Fusion traveling to Reach Workcamp in Tennessee!

A group of 13 CrossWalk youth will be traveling to Oak Ridge, TN in several weeks to join with hundreds of other youth from across the eastern US to meet needs of disadvantaged within the community. As part of a “Reach Workcamp” they will spend time working on homes in Clinton County, sharing Christ with homeowners and others through their actions and participating in an intense group program with other youth.

We have several needs related to this trip. For those of you who have or will receive letters from the youth requesting support, we would encourage you to prayerfully consider helping as you can. Contributions are welcome at any point, it’s not too late to consider giving.

We have a few needs for the trip we wanted to make you aware of:

- We are in need of at least one minivan, or preferably a larger 12 or 15 passenger van.

- We need a cargo van to haul supplies for the youth and leaders that are going.

(If you have access to any of these resources and would be willing to assist, it would save us from more expensive rentals.)
